Should I get tested immediately?
Most STIs have an incubation period following a sexual encounter. During this period an STI may not be detected and you should therefore wait at least 14 days following the sexual activity about which you are concerned before taking a test. This will ensure the results are accurate.
How long does it take for the results?

Are my results accurate?
Yes, the Confidante product is a CE marked product. Confidante is a cutting-edge testing procedure that uses molecular diagnostics that far exceed other STI tests currently available. The test screens for multiple STI pathogens to identify specific viral, protozoan or bacterial pathogens. Confidante uses a highly sensitive and specific Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) amplification assay, coupled with Biochip Array Technology, to provide rapid and extremely accurate results.
Are my results confidential?
Yes. They are 100% confidential and will not be shared with any other parties, including your GP. Results will not be entered onto your medical records. Your Unique Reference Number is required to obtain your results; they will not be given out without this.
What will the package look like if I order online?
Your Confidante test will arrive via 1st Class post or courier in a discreet envelope, with no indication as to the content. The envelope will fit through a standard letter box so you do not need to worry about being at home to receive the kit.
